Challenge
In some cases you may need to merge several Veeam licenses for the same product into one license to get extended sockets capacity. A solution provided below explains how to achieve this goal using an online tool available for every Veeam customer. Please note that the combined license key will have the earliest support expiration date of all product keys.
Solution
In order to merge licenses follow instructions below:NOTE! Before merging, you must ensure all your licenses have the same product name and edition, version, and license administrator.
-
Log on to the License Management Portal with your Veeam.com user account following this link:
http://www.veeam.com/manage_licenses.html -
The "Action" column will show an additional option to merge licenses whenever additional licenses of the same product have been added.
Merging will allow you to manage your infrastructure as one via a single key with the combined socket totals, rather than segmenting different socket purchases.
-
Click "Merge" link of any of licenses you are going to merge.
-
On the next screen, select licenses you need to merge using check boxes at the left side, then use "Download File" or "Send via Email" buttons to receive the merged license file:
