Known Issues
The following is a list of known major issues for Dell EMC PowerMax Plug-In for Veeam Backup & Replication.
- Dell EMC PowerMax Plug-In does not support adding two Unisphere servers with the same array(s) as "local". Doing so will cause issues with discovery and can lead to undesirable results.
- In large environments, selecting volumes from infrastructure while adding storage to Veeam B&R might take considerable time. In this case, it is recommended to use wildcards in the volume selection dialog to reduce the number of volumes to be scanned.
- Export operations may fail when many jobs are triggered in parallel or trigger when the storage system is processing other tasks. As a workaround, create fewer jobs processing a larger number of VMs.
- Storage cache overflow may occur in case of a high number of tasks triggered in parallel. As a workaround, perform cache cleanup and contact Dell EMC support for further investigation.
- Temporary clone volumes with the -DeletePending suffix created during backup jobs may remain on storage until the next storage rescan operation.
- Dell EMC PowerMax Plug-In does not support backing up of failover clusters using Veeam Agent for Windows.
