Challenge

Service providers need to change Welcome emails sent out to their customers by the Veeam Service Provider Console.

Cause

Starting from Veeam Service Provider Console v4, service providers can now create custom templates for the Welcome email.

Solution

Below you can find the detailed instructions on how to do it:
  1. Download a Welcome email sample.
  2. Modify the required parameters in the template.
  3. Go the Veeam Service Provider Console server and create a new folder “Template” for the custom email in this directory:
    C:\Program Files\Veeam\Availability Console\ApplicationServer\Template
  4. Save your new Welcome email template with the following name “WelcomeEmail.xslt” and place it to the “Template” folder.

Example 1

To change the subject for the Welcome email, use this section from the template:
<xsl:template name="EmailParam">
  <emailSubject>SAMPLE SUBJECT</emailSubject>
</xsl:template>

Example 2

Most of the parameters are self-descriptive. Below, you can find descriptions for the service provider and managed companies metadata.
