Challenge
Connection attempts including Backup, Backup copy and Rescan jobs to a Dell EMC Data Domain repository will start failing with the error below after installing update 4.
“the user has insufficient access rights. Err: 5075”
Cause
This is caused by a locked local user on the Data Domain device that was previously not being detected in older version of the DDBoost DLL Veeam was using.Solution
Log into the Data Domain device interface, go to Administration>access>local users and make sure that the account Veeam is using is not locked. If it is locked select the account and use the enable button at the top of the user list.
