Challenge
During the processing of a VM by Veeam Backup & Replication on a server with a Public IP, the notification stating “Network traffic will be encrypted” is shown even though no rule is in place within the network traffic rules.Cause
By default Veeam Backup & Replication enables encryption when a server and agent is run on has a Public IP.Solution
This is intended as a safety feature however the overhead of encryption can diminish performance.To disable this feature implement the follow registry value on the server where the Veeam console is installed and restart the Veeam Backup Service.
