Failed to create instance of DOMDocument

Challenge

All jobs fail to create an RPC connection with the error:
[15.05.2013 02:36:12] < 0> Error     Error code: 0x80040154
[15.05.2013 02:36:12] < 0> Error    Failed to create instance of DOMDocument

Cause

There is a known issue with the Veeam Transport service that can cause the above error when attempting to open new RPC connections.

Solution

There is a hotfix for this which require version 6.5.0.144 (6.5 patch 3) which can be acquired from support.

Rebooting of the proxy and Veeam Console servers or restarting the Veeam Backup Transport/Veeam Backup Proxy services can temporarily alleviate this issue as well.
