Challenge

By default, Veeam ONE Server collects historical performance data from a newly added virtual server for the last 3 months only. In some cases it is necessary to collect data for more than 3 months.

Solution

To change the default historical performance data collection period for Veeam ONE Server, follow the instructions below:
  1. Open Veeam ONE Monitor Client and remove a virtual server from the infrastructure view.

  2. Log on to the Veeam ONE Server machine, open Registry Editor and navigate to the Veeam ONE Server registry folder:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam ONE Monitor\Service

  3. Create a new value with the following settings:

    Type: DWORD
    Name: LowPerfQueryPeriod
Value: specify required period in decimal format (in minutes)

  4. Restart Veeam ONE Monitor Server service.

  5. Open Veeam ONE Monitor Client and add the virtual server in the infrastructure view.

More Information

Note that this solution is not applicable starting with vCenter 5.5 U3. To find out more, refer to this Veeam KB artice.
