Release Information for Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV Plug-In Hotfix (12.6.0.636)
Requirements
This hotfix release of Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV Plug-In (build 12.6.0.636) is intended to be deployed over an existing deployment of Veeam Backup & Replication 12.2.0.334 with Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV Plug-In 12.6.0.632.
Resolved Issues
Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV Plug-In build 12.6.0.636 resolves the following issues:
- The Nutanix AHV Veeam Appliance is listed as unavailable, and attempts to update Proxy parameters fail with errors:
Failed to edit the backup appliance settings: The backup appliance did not start within the expected time period
orFailed to synchronize jobs: Communication channel has been forcibly closed.
When this occurs the Appliance Web-UI shows error 502. - AHV cluster rescan fails with with the error:
JSON integer <integer> is too large or small for an Int32
Deployment Information
Deploy the hotfixed Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV Plug-In using the following procedure:
- Ensure that all AHV-related backup jobs are stopped and disabled during the plugin installation.
- Download the Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV Plug-In version 12.6.0.636:
- Extract the package to a folder on the Veeam Backup Server.
- Close all Veeam Backup & Replication console sessions on the Veeam Backup Server.
Process name: veeam.backup.shell.exe - Open Programs and Features (appwiz.cpl) and uninstall "Nutanix AHV Plugin for Veeam Backup & Replication" version 12.6.0.632.
- From the folder where you extracted the download zip, right-click on NutanixAHVPlugin_12.6.0.636.exe and select "Run as administrator" to install the new plugin version.
- After installing the new plugin, open the Veeam Backup & Replication console and manually create a new configuration backup.
Be sure you know the backup file encryption password, and then use the 'Backup now' button to create the latest configuration. - If the proxy server's status is not 'Out of Date', rescan the Nutanix Clusters.
- Right-click on the out-of-date proxy and select Upgrade to upgrade the proxy appliance.
- When the proxy appliance upgrade is complete, enable jobs disabled in Step 1 and test functionality.
