Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows Backup Session Failure is Reported as Successful
Challenge
In certain rare circumstances, a failed backup retry session for a Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows job operating in Managed by backup server mode may be reported as a Success.
Impacted Configuration
- Veeam Backup & Replication 12 (12.1.0.2131) Deployed.
- Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows operating in Managed Mode
- Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows job configured within Veeam Backup & Replication .using Managed by backup server mode.
- Unstable network connection, which may cause backup job failures.
Potentially affected jobs will be listed in the Veeam Backup & Replication Console under Jobs > Backup section, as the job type "Windows Agent Backup."

This issue was resolved in Veeam Backup & Replication 12.1.
Upgrade Veeam Backup & Replication to the latest version.
