How to Change Veeam Service Provider Console Website Port
Purpose
This article documents how to change the ports to reach the Veeam Service Provider Console Web UI or the Veeam Service Provider Console RESTful API websites.
Solution
Notes:
- The steps below will demonstrate changing the port used to reach the Veeam Service Provider Console Web UI. The same steps can be used to change the RESTful API port.
- The Veeam Service Provider Console software was previously known as Veeam Availability Console. The old name is still used in some locations for backward compatibility, in particular, the IIS Manager.
Change the Website Binding Port
- On the server hosting the Web UI and RESTful API websites, run the IIS Manager by accessing Administrative tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. Other ways of accessing IIS Manager are shown here.
- Within IIS Manager, select the website that will have its port change:
- In the pane on the right in the Edit Site section, click Bindings.
- In the Site Bindings window that appears, select a binding and click Edit.
- Within the Edit Site Binding window that appears, set the port as desired.
Update Portal Web Address
After changing the Veeam Service Provider Console Web UI binding port, the Portal web address must be updated within the Veeam Service Provider Console. If the Portal web address is not updated, Welcome emails and SSO will use the wrong port.
In this example, port 443 is used; technically, as this is the default HTTPS port, it does not need to be specified in the Portal web address field.
