Details
When operating in Standalone or Managed by agent mode, Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows version 5 and all previous versions utilize Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express LocalDB. Microsoft has announced that SQL Server 2012 will reach End-of-Life on July 12, 2022. However, Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows 5.0 will not reach End-of-Support until February of 2024 and will continue to use SQL 2012 LocalDB. The next release of Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows will use a different database engine, and there will be a seamless migration to that engine during the upgrade. Until the next release of Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows, customers may continue operating Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows with the included Microsoft SQL Server 2012 SP4 Express LocalDB.
