Backup of Resources from Specified Regions

Challenge

When you create a backup policy, you might not be able to include certain resources, or you do not see expected resources based on tags, subscriptions or resource groups.

Cause

In the backup policy wizard, you can select regions that contain resources that can be protected. However, tags, subscriptions and resource groups can contain resources in other regions. These tags, subscriptions and/or resource groups will not be included in the list of protected items.

Solution

Either create a new backup policy for the specific regions, or include the specific regions in the policy scope.
