General product family overview:
HCP for Cloud Scale v1.x.x, part of the Hitachi Content Platform offerings, is a software-defined object storage solution that is based on a massively parallel microservice architecture and is compatible with the Amazon S3 application programming interface (API). HCP for Cloud Scale is especially well suited to service applications requiring high bandwidth and compatibility with Amazon S3 APIs. "HCP for Cloud Scale v1.x" and "HCP v8.x" are two different products. "HCP v8.x" is currently not compatible with Veeam.

  • Software defined configuration is highly variable. For this test, we configured a (12) front-end node cluster, each node with 32 CPU, 256GB RAM, 5TB local drives. This front-end compute cluster is used to run the HCP for Cloud Scale software, executing system services and meta data operations. Data is passed thru to the S-node S3 back store.
