Azure Government support

Challenge

Starting from Veeam B&R 9.5 Update 3 it is possible to use Azure Government accounts

Solution

In order to enable Azure Government, follow these steps:

1. Download and apply the registry file
2. Restart Veeam Backup Service (note that it will interrupt all running jobs)
3. Add an Azure account

More Information

In order to revert to using usual Azure accounts, remove the following registry values under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication\:
AzureEnvironmentVariables
AzureASMImageName

Restart Veeam Backup service to apply changes.
